Artificial Turf Around a New Pool in Baton Rouge

The problem

  • A long, narrow strip between the pool coping and a new cedar fence.
  • Real grass would never fill in there, and mud tracks straight into the pool.
  • The base had to drain so water never sits under the turf.

What we built

  1. Step 1

Excavated the strip and compacted a permeable base.

  2. Step 2

Set the edge against the coping and laid the turf in a single run.

  3. Step 3

Finished with white river rock along the pool side.

This is the classic turf job Gerardo described in his interview: the small area beside the pool where real grass keeps failing. The crew excavated the strip, brought in base material and compacted it so the surface drains instead of holding water.

The turf was cut to the pool line and finished with a white rock border, which keeps splash-out off the grass edge and gives the coping a clean line. The whole surround took the crew about two days, in line with the reviews customers leave for this service.
